We're Talkin' Jazz with Tony Lindsay!

Two days before his appearance at the San Jose Jazz Festival, come here Tony Lindsay talk about his long career in music!

Tony Lindsay has 11 Grammy's on his mantle after spending 20 years as Santana's front man. Their current tour involves Santana's First Rock Residency: an exclusive two-year deal for 36 shows with AEG at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's concert hall The Joint, which began May 27, 2009. When not on tour with Santana, Lindsay performs at various local venues and festivals. Also, in between tours he is currently recording the Fourth Solo CD.

Tony has recorded with many major artists such as Narada Michael Walden, Tevin Campbell, The O'Jays, Al Jarreau, Curtis Mayfield, Smash Mouth, The Whispers, Shanice Wilson, Steve Winwood, Johnny Gill, Teddy Pendergrass, Aretha Franklin and Lou Rawls. Tony's distinctive voice has blessed him with various musical projects including a duet with the grand songstress Patti Austin on her album, In and Out of Love.

Tony also performs with his own band Spangalang; a Bay Area staple in northern California. Spangalang has opened for the likes of Curtis Mayfield, Tower of Power, Gerald Albright, Jr. Walker, and the Average White Band. Tony has also lent his dynamic voice on several radio and television commercials with Mazda, Chevy, Hotwheels, Clorox, Long John Silvers, St. Joseph Aspirin, Taco Bell, Dryer's Ice Cream, El Pollo Loco, and Wendy's.

He is one of four singers who travels with Dancing with the Stars, the road tour version of the popular TV Dance show, which began in 2005. Lindsay has joined three of the four seasons (he was on tour with Santana during 2007).
